The author is a korean writer named Nam Heesung. His books are mainly published in Korea, but the first volume was translated into english and sold in the USA. Sadly the publisher, which bought the legal rights to the book, went bankrupt and the production of the book was stopped. And the publishing rights were formed to last for 5 years.
